Environmental Impact Statement: I-12 to Bush Highway Project

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) requested a Department of Army (DA) permit, under the provisions of Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899 and Section 404 of the Clearn Water Act, to construct a modern, high-speed, 4-lane arterial highway from the southern terminus of the current, modern four-lane arterial portion of LA 21 in Bush, Louisiana, to I-12.  CEMVN determined this project could result in significant effects on natural systems, such as wetlands and riparian ecosystems.  As a result, the National Environmental Pollution Act (NEPA) requires that an EIS be prepared.
