  • Temporary Closure: Eads St. between Abundance St. and Treasure St.

    Eads Street between Abundance Street and Treasure Street will be closed on Saturday October 31, 2020 while temporary roadway repairs are being performed. This temporary closure is related to construction of new box culverts to enhance drainage in the area.
  • Operation Blue Roof sign-up for hurricane damage remains open

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Blue Roof program deadline is open through Oct. 24, 2020 for the Allen, Beauregard, Vernon, Jefferson Davis, Calcasieu and Cameron parishes for residences sustaining hurricane damage. Residents can sign up for the program online at www.usace.army.mil/BlueRoof or call toll free 1-888-ROOF-BLU (1-888-766-3258).
  • West Shore Lake Pontchartrain virtual public meeting scheduled

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District has scheduled a virtual public meeting regarding the West Shore Lake Pontchartrain project. The meeting will be live-streamed on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at 10 a.m. on the project’s Facebook page.
  • USACE reactivates Blue Roof program for homes damaged by Hurricanes Laura/Delta

    USACE is continuing to install blue roofs on homes damaged by Hurricane Laura. However, if you had a Hurricane Laura temporary blue roof installed by the USACE in Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, Jefferson Davis and Vernon parishes, and it was damaged by Hurricane Delta, the USACE will assess its condition, and, if appropriate, replace it. ALL eligible homeowners within the six affected parishes are eligible to sign-up for a FREE temporary roof through Oct. 24, 2020.
