    Contract awarded for levee work and pipeline crossing floodwall for the West Shore Lake Pontchartrain project

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, recently awarded a contract for constructing the tenth levee reach and a pipeline crossing floodwall on the West Shore Lake Pontchartrain (WSLP) Hurricane and Storm Damage Risk Reduction project. WSLP contract 109 will construct approximately 1 mile of the 18.5-mile-long levee system that will provide 100-year level risk reduction to the area primarily in St. John the Baptist, St. James, and St. Charles Parish.

    Contract awarded for drainage structure work for the West Shore Lake Pontchartrain project

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, recently awarded a contract for constructing two major drainage structures for the West Shore Lake Pontchartrain (WSLP) Hurricane and Storm Damage Risk Reduction project. WSLP contract 114a will construct drainage structures at Hope Canal and Prescott Canal, which will be key features to ensure that the 18.5-mile-long levee system has effective drainage and can provide 100-year level risk reduction to the area primarily in St. John the Baptist, St. James and St. Charles Parish.
