ALL projects are sorted by issuance date. The public notices and drawings are in PDF formatted files. You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your PC to view the files. If you don't have it, you may download it free from www.adobe.com.

Viewing Notices. To view a Public Notice and its associated Drawings file (if any), click on the "Public Notice" or "Public Notice and Drawings" link and any additional links included in the attachments section. How to send comments. Comments can be mailed to the address appearing in the Public Notice or emailed to the Project Manager identified on the Public Notice. Comments made in reference to a Public Notice should include your name, address, and phone number as well as the permit application number identified on the Public Notice. 

Individuals or parties may request an extension of time in which to comment on the proposed work by writing to the project manager or clicking on the project manager’s name on the public notice grid on the web page.  Any request must be specific and substantively supportive of the requested extension, and received by this office prior to the end of the initial comment period.  The Branch Chief will review the request and the requestor will be promptly notified of the decision to grant or deny the request.  If granted, the time extension will be continuous to the initial comment period and, inclusive of the initial comment period, will not exceed a total of 30 calendar days.

SUPPLEMENTAL NOTICE OF INTENT TO DEVELOP AN ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT FOR THE PROPOSED MID-BARATARIA SEDIMENT DIVERSION PUBLISHED IN THE FEDERAL REGISTER

 

DESCRIPTION:  On April 27, 2017, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE-MVN) published in the Federal Register a Supplemental Notice of Intent (NOI) to prepare a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the proposed Mid-Barataria Sediment Diversion (MBSD), in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana (82 FR 19361).  USACE-MVN published the original Notice of Intent (NOI) to prepare a DEIS for the MBSD project in the Federal Register on October 4, 2013 (78 FR 61843).  This Supplemental NOI serves to supplement the original NOI to update the MBSD project details, contact information for the proposed MBSD project, scoping provisions, and other pertinent information.  These documents and additional information about the USACE MBSD permit and permissions review can be found on the following MVN Website:

APPLICANT REQUEST:  The Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority Board of Louisiana, through the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA), has submitted a Joint Permit Application to the Department of Army (DA) under the provisions of Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C. 1344) (Section 404) and Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Appropriation Act of 1899, as amended (33 U.S.C 403)(Section 10) and a permission request under Section 14 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899 (33 U.S.C 408) (Section 408) to the USACE-MVN for CPRA’s proposed Mid-Barataria Sediment Diversion.  (Regulatory File Number MVN-2012-2806-EOO)
