St. Tammany Parish State and Agency Review

St. Tammany Parish which is approximately 1,124 square miles in size and is in southeastern Louisiana. The Parish measures approximately 1,124 square miles in size, is situated on the northeast shore of Lake Pontchartrain, and is home to over 258,111 residents. Major communities include Slidell, Mandeville, Covington, Abita Springs, Pearl River, and Madisonville.

The goal of the St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana Feasibility Study is to reduce the severity of flood damages and risk to public health and safety, caused by heavy rainfall, riverine flooding, tropical storms and hurricanes.

A State and Agency Review is required by Executive Order 12372, Public Law 78-534, as amended, and Public Law 85-624. This is a 30-day review of the Draft Chief’s Report and Final Integrated Feasibility Report and EIS.
