Published Feb. 13, 2015

NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, and its contractors will temporarily close two medians on Claiborne Avenue for work related to the Southeast Louisiana Drainage Project (SELA).

Beginning Wednesday, February 18, 2015, the South Claiborne medians at Eagle Street and Monroe Street will be closed for the construction of a new drainage box culvert. The Corps contractor will install a temporary median cross-over between Eagle Street and Monroe Street to allow for access to and from South Claiborne Avenue. The closure will last approximately four months.

Throughout construction, The Corps will continue to work closely with its partners at the City of New Orleans.
