Lane closure to occur at Freret and Napoleon for SELA work

NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, and its contractors will temporarily close the Freret Street intersection at Napoleon Avenue for work related to the Southeast Louisiana Drainage Project (SELA).

Beginning Thursday, January 15, 2015, the intersection at Freret Street and Napoleon Avenue will be closed. Eastbound (downtown bound) traffic, on Freret Street, will be diverted to Lasalle Street. Westbound traffic will be diverted to a u-turn before Magnolia Street.

The closure will last approximately two months. During this time, traffic signals will be off.
