Corps hosts public meeting to discuss GLMRIS

Meeting is to present info on the Great Lakes and Mississippi River Interbasin Study (GLMRIS)

NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Chicago District, will host a public meeting and webinar to present information on the Great Lakes and Mississippi River Interbasin Study (GLMRIS) – Brandon Road effort. The Corps will evaluate a range of aquatic nuisance species (ANS) controls that could be applied near the Brandon Road Lock and Dam located near Joliet, Ill., to address the transfer of ANS from the Mississippi River Basin to the Great Lakes Basin. As part of the National Environmental Policy Act scoping process, USACE is seeking input on the scope of issues to be addressed by this evaluation and any significant issues at this site.
