Program Goals

  • Evaluate employment policies, practices, and patterns and eliminate those barriers and practices that impede equal employment opportunity for all employees and applicants for employment.

  • Promote EEO programs, including affirmative action programs, as essential elements of readiness that are vital to the accomplishment of our mission.

  • Reach parity in MVN's workforce compared with the representation of minorities and women in the civilian labor force by setting realistic goals increasing the percentages of women and minorities and encouraging managers and supervisors to meet their own goals.

  • Promote the Corps' strategic vision to "Invest in people: Enlightened leadership and a talented, productive, and diverse work force will enable the Corps to enhance its value to the Army and the Nation."

  • Promote MVN's strategic vision to enhance career development through developmental assignments, membership in professional organizations, training, team achievements, and advanced degrees and to support the Advancing Minorities' Interest in Engineering (AMIE) goals and objectives.

  • Prohibit discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, mental or physical disability, age or reprisal for participation in protected Title VII activity.

  • Ensure fair, impartial, and timely investigation and resolution of complaints of discrimination in employment.
