ALL projects are sorted by issuance date. The public notices and drawings are in PDF formatted files. You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your PC to view the files. If you don't have it, you may download it free from www.adobe.com.

Viewing Notices. To view a Public Notice and its associated Drawings file (if any), click on the "Public Notice" or "Public Notice and Drawings" link and any additional links included in the attachments section. How to send comments. Comments can be mailed to the address appearing in the Public Notice or emailed to the Project Manager identified on the Public Notice. Comments made in reference to a Public Notice should include your name, address, and phone number as well as the permit application number identified on the Public Notice. 

Individuals or parties may request an extension of time in which to comment on the proposed work by writing to the project manager or clicking on the project manager’s name on the public notice grid on the web page.  Any request must be specific and substantively supportive of the requested extension, and received by this office prior to the end of the initial comment period.  The Branch Chief will review the request and the requestor will be promptly notified of the decision to grant or deny the request.  If granted, the time extension will be continuous to the initial comment period and, inclusive of the initial comment period, will not exceed a total of 30 calendar days.

WATERWAY AND LOCATION: The project would affect waters of the United States associated with unnamed canals that eventually connect to Lac Des Allemands. The project/review area is located on the west side of King Street and the south side of Hahn Street, 50 feet south of the intersection of King Street and Hahn Street in Sections 3, 10, 24, 26, and 68, Township 13S, Range 20E; at Latitude 29.975975 and Longitude
-90.415814; in Hahnville, Saint Charles Parish, Louisiana.

PROJECT PURPOSE:

Basic: Drainage improvements

Overall: Replace existing drainage in the area.

PROPOSED WORK: The applicant requests authorization to clear, grade, excavate, and place fill for improvements to local drainage infrastructure including the excavation of open ditches and installation of culverts and appurtenant structures. The proposed drainage ditch would be approximately 40-45 feet x 6,391 feet. Approximately 32,250 cubic yards of native material are to be excavated and placed off-site. Approximately 350 cubic yards of rock and 650 cubic yards of sand are proposed to be placed on-site. The site is approximately 17.85 acres and would include impacts to approximately 5.26 acres of jurisdictional wetlands and 0.14 acres of other waters. Approximately 3.17 acres are proposed to be permanent impacts and approximately 2.09 acres are proposed to be a partial conversion from forested wetlands to emergent wetlands.
