How to send comments. Comments can be mailed to the address appearing in the Public Notice or emailed to the Project Manager identified on the Public Notice. Comments made in reference to a Public Notice should include your name, address, and phone number as well as the permit application number identified on the Public Notice. 

Individuals or parties may request an extension of time in which to comment on the proposed work by writing to the project manager or clicking on the project manager’s name on the public notice grid on the web page.  Any request must be specific and substantively supportive of the requested extension, and received by this office prior to the end of the initial comment period.  The Branch Chief will review the request and the requestor will be promptly notified of the decision to grant or deny the request.  If granted, the time extension will be continuous to the initial comment period and, inclusive of the initial comment period, will not exceed a total of 30 calendar days.

LOCATION OF WORK: The proposed project site is located South of East Baton Rouge Career and Technical Education Center. It is located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana (Latitude: 30.464684, Longitude: -91.123242), as shown within the attached drawings. (Hydrologic Unit Code 08070202, Amite River).


CHARACTER OF WORK: The proposed project would involve clearing, grading, and site prep to construct a roadway between North Ardenwood and Lobdell Boulevard. The 3,000' x 28' road will be constructed with a 6-foot sidewalk, 5ft cycle lane, and a furniture zone of 5ft on both sides. A 1,945' X 4' drainage ditch will be constructed on the north side of the road to drain subsurface catch basins which will be installed to direct drainage to the existing ditches on the east and west sections of the site using a 42" x 198' reinforced concrete outfall pipe. The proposed project will dredge and regrade two existing canals and will widen the existing drainage servitude. The width varies between 40' - 80' and the depth varies between 10' - 15'. The existing median and curbing will be removed and replaced with full depth asphalt on Lobdell Boulevard. Approximately, 1,889 cubic yards of onsite fill, clay, asphalt, concrete will be deposited for the project. The proposed project would permanently impact approximately 4.07 acres of jurisdictional forested wetlands and approximately 0.70 acre of jurisdictional Non-Wetland Waters (NWW)will be temporarily impacted.
