NAME OF APPLICANT: TT 183, LLC, c/o: Lanier & Associates Consulting Engineers, Inc., 4101 Magazine Street, New Orleans, Louisiana, 70115.

LOCATION OF WORK: In the Mississippi River, right descending bank, between miles 182 and 183, near Modeste, Louisiana, in Ascension Parish, within the Mississippi River Basin in hydrologic unit (HUC 08070100), as shown on the attached drawings (30.1705555, -91.011944444).

CHARACTER OF WORK: The applicant has requested Department of Army authorization to install and maintain a new barge fleet in the Mississippi River. The barge fleet will be five (5) barges long x nine (9) barges wide. Each barge will be 200’ long x 35’ wide with eight working barges and one spare. There will be a total of ten (10) monopiles installed for the proposed project with two (2) monopiles per tier for mooring and breasting. All work will be performed from a barge-mounted crane and no equipment will go over the levee. There are three (3) piles that will penetrate the revetment requiring revetment repair. Approximately 30 cubic yards of rip-rap will be deposited for revetment repair. The purpose of the new barge fleet is to provide additional barge fleeting space to accommodate growing demand in the immediate area on the river. No impacts to vegetated wetlands are proposed. The project as proposed would permanently impact approximately 0.01-acre of Non-Wetland Water Bottoms (NWW) for revetment repair.
