Public Notices Overview

How to send comments. Comments can be mailed to the address appearing in the Public Notice or emailed to the Project Manager identified on the Public Notice. Comments made in reference to a Public Notice should include your name, address, and phone number as well as the permit application number identified on the Public Notice.

Individuals or parties may request an extension of time in which to comment on the proposed work by writing to the project manager or clicking on the project manager’s name on the public notice grid on the web page. Any request must be specific and substantively supportive of the requested extension, and received by this office prior to the end of the initial comment period. The Branch Chief will review the request and the requestor will be promptly notified of the decision to grant or deny the request. If granted, the time extension will be continuous to the initial comment period and, inclusive of the initial comment period, will not exceed a total of 30 calendar days.

NAME OF APPLICANT: RDM LLC, c/o Douglas Murphy, 18460 Ocman Lane, Livingston, Louisiana 70754.

LOCATION OF WORK: Located along a tributary to the Amite River to the west of Old River Road, near the City of Maurepas, in Livingston Parish Louisiana, (lat. 30.27143, long. -90.73619), as shown within the attached drawings. (Hydrologic Unit Code 080702020905, King George Bayou-Amite River Watershed).

CHARACTER OF WORK: The applicant has requested Department of the Army authorization to permanently discharge fill material within 2.26 acres of wetlands for the purpose of developing 13 single-family residences, driveways, and a bulkhead along a tributary to the Amite River. Fill material would consist of 222 cubic yards of concreate and 2,260 cubic yards of hauled in topsoil/dirt. Of the 2.26 acres of wetlands proposed to be impacted by the project, 1.81 acres consist of mixed hardwood and cypress trees and are subject to Section 404 authorization but not Section 10. The remaining 0.53 acres of wetlands proposed to be impacted are subject to both Section 404 and 10 authorizations.
