ALL projects are sorted by issuance date. The public notices and drawings are in PDF formatted files. You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your PC to view the files. If you don't have it, you may download it free from www.adobe.com.

Viewing Notices. To view a Public Notice and its associated Drawings file (if any), click on the "Public Notice" or "Public Notice and Drawings" link and any additional links included in the attachments section. How to send comments. Comments can be mailed to the address appearing in the Public Notice or emailed to the Project Manager identified on the Public Notice. Comments made in reference to a Public Notice should include your name, address, and phone number as well as the permit application number identified on the Public Notice. 

Individuals or parties may request an extension of time in which to comment on the proposed work by writing to the project manager or clicking on the project manager’s name on the public notice grid on the web page.  Any request must be specific and substantively supportive of the requested extension, and received by this office prior to the end of the initial comment period.  The Branch Chief will review the request and the requestor will be promptly notified of the decision to grant or deny the request.  If granted, the time extension will be continuous to the initial comment period and, inclusive of the initial comment period, will not exceed a total of 30 calendar days.

LOCATION OF WORK: The project is located at 3191 W Lincoln Road in Lake Charles, LA, 70605. 4.5 mi. south of the City of Lake Charles in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, (lat. 30.105143, long. -93.277443), as shown within the enclosed drawings. Hydrologic Unit Code 08080206, Lower Calcasieu Watershed.

CHARACTER OF WORK: This submission is a request for a time extension and proposed permit modification for the expansion of the previously permitted (MVN-2008-2723-WW) Shaw Port of Lake Charles Assembly Facility. The proposed expansion area is located directly adjacent to the previous development and is required to expand the existing product load and capacity/production of the facility. The proposed activities include the regrading of the site, deposition of hauled in soil and limestone aggregate fill within east and west yard areas, installation of culverts to link existing drainage infrastructure, installation of culverts to create a 90 foot equipment passage linking the existing facility to the proposed west yard, and widening of an existing heavy haul road by 30-ft. Cut material from the proposed equipment storage areas and road expansion areas will be stored on-site in an upland spoil storage area to the maximum extent practicable. The permit modification requests additional impacts of 12.7 acres of herbaceous wetlands and 0.18 acres of non-wetland Waters of the United States.
