LOCATION OF WORK:  On Bayou Petit Caillou, approximately 2.5 miles south of Chauvin, Louisiana, in Terrebonne Parish, within the Terrebonne Basin in hydrologic unit (HUC 08090302), as shown on the attached drawings.

CHARACTER OF WORK:  The applicant has requested Department of the Army authorization to complete previously permitted work to install approximately 3,266-feet of vinyl bulkhead and dredge to a depth of 3.0 NGVD approximately 3.2 acres of Bayou Petit Caillou for material to be placed behind the bulkhead and on upland lots adjacent to the bayou.  Approximately 2,752 cubic yards of material will be dredged and re-deposited over approximately 9.5 acres of adjacent uplands.  Approximately 3.2 acres of jurisdictional Non-Wetland Water bottoms (NWW) will be temporarily impacted.  Approximately 1,138-feet of the bulkhead construction has been completed and no dredging has been conducted at the site.  It is anticipated that the proposed action would have no impact on adjacent wetlands.
