Public Notices Overview

How to send comments. Comments can be mailed to the address appearing in the Public Notice or emailed to the Project Manager identified on the Public Notice. Comments made in reference to a Public Notice should include your name, address, and phone number as well as the permit application number identified on the Public Notice.

Individuals or parties may request an extension of time in which to comment on the proposed work by writing to the project manager or clicking on the project manager’s name on the public notice grid on the web page. Any request must be specific and substantively supportive of the requested extension, and received by this office prior to the end of the initial comment period. The Branch Chief will review the request and the requestor will be promptly notified of the decision to grant or deny the request. If granted, the time extension will be continuous to the initial comment period and, inclusive of the initial comment period, will not exceed a total of 30 calendar days.

NAME OF APPLICANT: Boardwalk Louisiana Midstream, LLC, c/o Providence Engineering and Environmental Group, LLC, Attn: Ms. Regina Staten, 1201 Main Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70802.

LOCATION OF WORK: In Iberville Parish, North 30.316461, West -91.304178, located off of Louisiana Highway 1148, west of Plaquemine, Louisiana, as shown on the attached vicinity map.

CHARACTER OF WORK: Clear, grade, trench and temporarily backfill approximately 2,894 cubic yards of native material, to construct and maintain (1) 8” brine pipeline and (1) 8” ethylene pipeline to serve the #24 Brine Well, at their Bayou Choctaw Facility, near Plaquemine, Louisiana, in Iberville Parish. Approximately 3.73 acres of jurisdictional wetlands (2.70 acres PEM, 0.90 acres PFO and 0.13 acres PSS) would be temporarily impacted and approximately 0.18 of an acre (0.07 of an acre PFO and 0.11 of an acre PSS) would be impacted by permanent conversion to herbaceous right-of-ways. The applicant proposes to purchase mitigation credits from a Corps approved mitigation bank within the watershed of impact to offset all unavoidable impacts.
