ALL projects are sorted by issuance date. The public notices and drawings are in PDF formatted files. You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your PC to view the files. If you don't have it, you may download it free from www.adobe.com.

To view a Public Notice and its associated Drawings file (if any), click on the "Public Notice" or "Public Notice and Drawings" link and any additional links included in the attachments section. How to send comments. Comments can be mailed to the address appearing in the Public Notice or emailed to the Project Manager identified on the Public Notice. Comments made in reference to a Public Notice should include your name, address, and phone number as well as the permit application number identified on the Public Notice. 

Individuals or parties may request an extension of time in which to comment on the proposed work by writing to the project manager or clicking on the project manager’s name on the public notice grid on the web page.  Any request must be specific and substantively supportive of the requested extension, and received by this office prior to the end of the initial comment period.  The Branch Chief will review the request and the requestor will be promptly notified of the decision to grant or deny the request.  If granted, the time extension will be continuous to the initial comment period and, inclusive of the initial comment period, will not exceed a total of 30 calendar days.

NAME OF APPLICANT:  GUS HOLDEN, Post Office Box 93, Zachary, Louisiana 70791.

LOCATION OF WORK:  Amite River, right descending bank, Louisiana Trace Subdivision, Lots 53-B and 53-C, located at 20384 Louisiana Trace Road, French Settlement, Louisiana, (30.2820713, -90.738297), within Hydrologic Unit Code 08070202, Lower Mississippi – Lake Maurepas, in Livingston Parish.  

CHARACTER OF WORK:  The applicant has requested Department of the Army authorization to excavate a 40-ft by 40-ft boat slip, install and maintain decking to create a double wide covered slip and launch, install and maintain two (2) bulkheads, (approximately 190 linear feet at Site 1 and approximately 35 linear feet at Site 2), and place the excavated material along with hauled-in topsoil behind the bulkheads for erosion control and land reclamation, located along the Amite River, at 20384 Louisiana Trace Road, French Settlement, Louisiana, in Livingston Parish.  The covered boat slip will extend approximately 30 feet channelward where the Amite River’s width at the site is approximately 180 feet wide.  Approximately 474 cubic yards of excavated material along with approximately 118.10 cubic yards of hauled-in topsoil will be placed behind the bulkhead for land reclamation.  Approximately 0.10 acre of non-vegetated waterbottoms will be impacted as a result of the proposed activities.  No impacts to jurisdictional wetlands will occur with the proposed activity.
