ALL projects are sorted by issuance date. The public notices and drawings are in PDF formatted files. You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your PC to view the files. If you don't have it, you may download it free from www.adobe.com.

To view a Public Notice and its associated Drawings file (if any), click on the "Public Notice" or "Public Notice and Drawings" link and any additional links included in the attachments section. How to send comments. Comments can be mailed to the address appearing in the Public Notice or emailed to the Project Manager identified on the Public Notice. Comments made in reference to a Public Notice should include your name, address, and phone number as well as the permit application number identified on the Public Notice. 

Individuals or parties may request an extension of time in which to comment on the proposed work by writing to the project manager or clicking on the project manager’s name on the public notice grid on the web page.  Any request must be specific and substantively supportive of the requested extension, and received by this office prior to the end of the initial comment period.  The Branch Chief will review the request and the requestor will be promptly notified of the decision to grant or deny the request.  If granted, the time extension will be continuous to the initial comment period and, inclusive of the initial comment period, will not exceed a total of 30 calendar days.

NAME OF APPLICANT:  State of Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority, 150 Terrace Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA 70802.

LOCATION:  Project located at approximately Latitude 29.73496, Longitude -91.852775, at Cypremort State Park, within St. Mary and Iberia Parishes, Louisiana.  

DESCRIPTION:   The applicant proposes to make improvements to Cypremort Point State Park by implementing the five (5) following components: 1) Perform beach reclamation to restore eroded beach at the Vermilion Bay shoreline to pre-erosion condition. 2) Reinforce existing rock revetments along the north bank of Quintana Canal. 3) Construct a pedestrian boardwalk over the marsh on the eastern side of the park 4) Repair existing parking areas and entrance roadway, overlay existing limestone road surface with asphalt. 5) Construct a recreational vehicle campground within the park.  Access into marsh area will be traveled in only one direction to avoid permanent impacts to marsh vegetation.  The elevation of the boardwalk over vegetated wetlands is greater than 4 feet and at least as high above the marsh surface as the structure is wide (ie. 6' wide and 6' tall). The areas of the boardwalk where it is not feasible to elevate to a height equal to the width, the surface of the boardwalk is to be constructed of grating with openings for sunlight to transverse.  Permanent impacts to wetlands are not expect.
