How to send comments. Comments can be mailed to the address appearing in the Public Notice or emailed to the Project Manager identified on the Public Notice. Comments made in reference to a Public Notice should include your name, address, and phone number as well as the permit application number identified on the Public Notice.

Individuals or parties may request an extension of time in which to comment on the proposed work by writing to the project manager or clicking on the project manager’s name on the public notice grid on the web page. Any request must be specific and substantively supportive of the requested extension, and received by this office prior to the end of the initial comment period. The Branch Chief will review the request and the requestor will be promptly notified of the decision to grant or deny the request. If granted, the time extension will be continuous to the initial comment period and, inclusive of the initial comment period, will not exceed a total of 30 calendar days.

NAME OF APPLICANT: Crimson Midstream, LLC, c/o T. Baker Smith, LLC., P.O. Box 2266, Houma, LA 70361

LOCATION OF WORK: In open waters between Clovelly Station and LOOP, LLC’s tank farm facility (Latitude: 29.475786, Longitude: -90.260751 and Latitude: 29.454028, Longitude: 90.265956) near Galliano, Louisiana, in Lafourche Parish, within the East Central Louisiana Coastal basin in hydrological unit (HUC 08090301), as shown on the attached drawings.

CHARACTER OF WORK: The applicant has requested Department of the Army permit authorization to install and maintain 1.85 miles of new 20-inch pipeline to support the transport of product between existing facilities. The project will require the excavation of approximately 30,842 cubic yards of material and the placement of approximately 7,646 cubic yards of fill. Approximately 5.1 acres of marsh and 6.4 acres of other waters will be impacted by the pipeline installation and construction of an access road. The applicant will utilize existing canals and roadways. All impacts are anticipated to be temporary. The applicant has claimed that the project has been designed to avoid and minimize direct and secondary adverse wetland impacts to the maximum extent practicable. Compensatory mitigation requirements will be assessed after one complete growing season.
