ALL projects are sorted by issuance date. The public notices and drawings are in PDF formatted files. You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your PC to view the files. If you don't have it, you may download it free from www.adobe.com.

Viewing Notices. To view a Public Notice and its associated Drawings file (if any), click on the "Public Notice" or "Public Notice and Drawings" link and any additional links included in the attachments section. How to send comments. Comments can be mailed to the address appearing in the Public Notice or emailed to the Project Manager identified on the Public Notice. Comments made in reference to a Public Notice should include your name, address, and phone number as well as the permit application number identified on the Public Notice. 

Individuals or parties may request an extension of time in which to comment on the proposed work by writing to the project manager or clicking on the project manager’s name on the public notice grid on the web page.  Any request must be specific and substantively supportive of the requested extension, and received by this office prior to the end of the initial comment period.  The Branch Chief will review the request and the requestor will be promptly notified of the decision to grant or deny the request.  If granted, the time extension will be continuous to the initial comment period and, inclusive of the initial comment period, will not exceed a total of 30 calendar days.

NAME OF APPLICANT:  Cheniere Land Holdings, L.L.C., c/o T. Baker Smith, L.L.C., 107 Global Circle, Lafayette, Louisiana 70503.

LOCATION OF WORK:  Near Calcasieu River, located near the intersection of LA Highway 27 and LA Highway 108, approximately 6.0 miles south of Sulphur, in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, as shown on the enclosed drawings. Location: Latitude: 30°08ʹ15.65ʺ N / Longitude: -93°22ʹ3.32ʺ W, Hydrologic Unit Code: 08080206 – Calcasieu Basin.

CHARACTER OF WORK: Conduct clearing, grubbing, and grading operations to construct a park and ride parking lot consisting of 270 parking spaces, a 40-foot wide by 80-foot long building, a 60-foot wide by 180-foot long driveway, a 112-foot long 24-inch diameter culvert, excavate approximately 2,556 cubic yards of earthen fill material for two 40-foot wide by 147-foot long retention ponds, excavate approximately 11,365 cubic yards of earthen fill material and haul it to a non-wetland site, and place approximately 11,365 cubic yards of hauled-in fill material and 3,535 cubic yards of crushed concrete for the parking lot and driveway and 123 cubic yards of hauled-in fill material for culvert, all to provide additional parking for the Sabine Pass LNG Terminal commuters and minimize traffic congestion on Highway 27. Approximately 3.52 acres of forested wetlands and 0.06 acres of emergent wetlands would be permanently impacted via project implementation. The applicant proposes to compensate for wetland impacts by purchasing credits at a Department of the Army (DA) approved mitigation bank, should a DA permit authorization be granted.
