ALL projects are sorted by issuance date. The public notices and drawings are in PDF formatted files. You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your PC to view the files. If you don't have it, you may download it free from www.adobe.com.

Viewing Notices. To view a Public Notice and its associated Drawings file (if any), click on the "Public Notice" or "Public Notice and Drawings" link and any additional links included in the attachments section. How to send comments. Comments can be mailed to the address appearing in the Public Notice or emailed to the Project Manager identified on the Public Notice. Comments made in reference to a Public Notice should include your name, address, and phone number as well as the permit application number identified on the Public Notice. 

Individuals or parties may request an extension of time in which to comment on the proposed work by writing to the project manager or clicking on the project manager’s name on the public notice grid on the web page.  Any request must be specific and substantively supportive of the requested extension, and received by this office prior to the end of the initial comment period.  The Branch Chief will review the request and the requestor will be promptly notified of the decision to grant or deny the request.  If granted, the time extension will be continuous to the initial comment period and, inclusive of the initial comment period, will not exceed a total of 30 calendar days.

NAME OF APPLICANT:  Columbia Gulf Transmission, c/o Golder Associates, Inc., 5170 Peachtree Road, Suite 300, Atlanta, Georgia 30341.

LOCATION OF WORK:  Near Little Pecan Bayou, located in Rockefeller Wildlife Management Area and Game Preserve, near the community of North Island, in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, as shown on the enclosed drawings. Location: Latitude: 29.734528° N / Longitude: -92.71345° W, Hydrologic Unit Code: 08080202 – Mermentau Basin.

CHARACTER OF WORK:  Excavate approximately 68,684 cubic yards of earthen material to remove a 4.0-mile section of the 6.8-mile long 16-inch diameter East Cameron 23 Field Pipeline, place approximately 83,588 cubic yards of earthen material within temporary spoil placement areas, and abandon in place the remaining 2.8-mile section of the pipeline within the Rockefeller Wildlife Management Area and Game Preserve. Approximately 5.03 acres of emergent wetlands, and 0.37 of an acre of non-wetland waters would be temporarily impacted via excavation operations. Approximately 7.04 acres of emergent wetlands and 0.74 of an acre of non-wetland waters would be temporarily impacted via filling operations. A project total of approximately 12.07 acres of emergent wetlands and 1.11 acres of non-wetland waters would be temporarily impacted via project implementation. The applicant will be required to restore all temporarily impacted wetlands to be verified after one growing season from project completion, and will compensate for any unrepairable wetland impacts through acquisition of in-kind credits at a Department of the Army approved mitigation bank, should a DA permit be granted.
