How to send comments. Comments can be mailed to the address appearing in the Public Notice or emailed to the Project Manager identified on the Public Notice. Comments made in reference to a Public Notice should include your name, address, and phone number as well as the permit application number identified on the Public Notice.

Individuals or parties may request an extension of time in which to comment on the proposed work by writing to the project manager or clicking on the project manager’s name on the public notice grid on the web page. Any request must be specific and substantively supportive of the requested extension, and received by this office prior to the end of the initial comment period. The Branch Chief will review the request and the requestor will be promptly notified of the decision to grant or deny the request. If granted, the time extension will be continuous to the initial comment period and, inclusive of the initial comment period, will not exceed a total of 30 calendar days.

NAME OF APPLICANT: HILCORP ENERGY, c/o Providence Engineering and Environmental, Attn: Regina Staten, 1201 Main Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70802.

LOCATION OF WORK: Tambour Bay, approximately 4.2 miles south of Cocodrie, Louisiana, (29.186633, -90.654091), in Terrebonne Parish, as shown on the enclosed drawings, within Hydrologic Unit Code 08090302, West Central Louisiana Coastal, Louisiana.

CHARACTER OF WORK: The applicant has requested Department of the Army authorization to dredge an access channel in order to install and maintain a proposed drill barge, platform and appurtenant structures to drill the U2 #27 Side Track and Hood Prospects. Approximately 5,072 cubic yards of native material will be displaced via propwashing and 48,715 cubic yards of open water will be hydraulically dredged to access the well sites. A dredge discharge line will be used to transport the hydraulically dredged material from open water to the spoil placement areas at an elevation conducive to the establishment of marsh habitat. If the wells are successful, approximately 5,205 linear feet of one (1) two-inch diameter gas line and approximately 5,205 linear feet of one (1) four-inch diameter flowline will be installed from the wells to an existing facility.
