    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District released its St. Tammany Parish Feasibility Study Draft Report with Integrated Environmental Impact Statement for a 45-day public review and comment period starting June 11 through July 26, 2021.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers re-released the Upper Barataria Louisiana – Feasibility Study with Integrated Environmental Impact Statement for a 45-day public review and comment period.
  • Comments sought for development of the Mid-Breton Sediment Diversion Environmental Impact Statement

    CPRA has applied to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for permits and permission to construct, maintain and operate the Mid-Breton Sediment Diversion project on the east bank of the Mississippi River near Willis Point in Plaquemines Parish. In compliance with NEPA, the Corps will prepare an EIS to inform its permitting decisions. As part of this process, the Corps is seeking public comment to assist in determining the scope of issues, resources, impacts and alternatives to be addressed in the document. Comments will be collected until August 16, 2020.
  • Corps announces review and comment period for environmental document

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, today released a Draft Environmental Assessment titled. “Louisiana Coastal Area (LCA) Beneficial Use of Dredged Material Program, Barataria Bay Waterway at Jefferson Parish, Louisiana.” This environmental assessment covers a proposal to place fill material in the narrow corridor of wetlands that separate Bayou Perot and Bayou Rigolettes in Jefferson Parish.
