    USACE, New Orleans District has scheduled two virtual public meetings to gather input regarding the re-release of the Upper Barataria Basin, La. Feasibility Study with Integrated EIS. The meetings will be held via WebEx and simultaneously streamed on the district’s Facebook page on Jan. 12 and 13. All public comments received will be addressed and considered through Jan. 25, 2021.

The study’s purpose is to evaluate potential alternatives to reduce the risk to human life, health, and safety; reduce flood and economic impacts to structures, evacuation routes, and critical infrastructure; and increase community resiliency before, during, and after flooding events.
