Parking to be limited on portion of Jefferson Avenue for permanent roadway placement

Southeast Louisiana Urban Flood Control Project (SELA)

NEW ORLEANS – Beginning at 7 a.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2016, street parking on Jefferson Avenue between Constance and Dryades street will be unavailable because of permanent roadway placement work associated with the Southeast Louisiana Urban Flood Control Project Jefferson Ave. Phase II. This work is scheduled to be completed on Monday, September 12, 2016.

All vehicles should be removed from the north and south bound parking lanes on Jefferson Avenue between Constance to Dryades streets by 7 a.m. on Wednesday, September 7. Access to driveways in the affected area will be coordinated with residents. The existing northbound traffic flow for Jefferson Avenue will be maintained during this portion of the project.

Throughout construction, the Army Corps will continue to coordinate closures with its partners at the City of New Orleans and the Sewerage & Water Board.
