Lane closure to occur on Louisiana Avenue for work related to SELA
Southeast Louisiana Urban Flood Control Project (SELA)
NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District will temporarily close Louisiana Avenue for work related to the Southeast Louisiana Urban Flood Control Project (SELA).
Weather dependent, Saturday, January 9, 2016 from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Louisiana Avenue will be closed in both directions at Magnolia Street.
The following detours will be in place:
· Traffic traveling north on Louisiana Avenue will be diverted at Lasalle Street.
· Traffic traveling south on Louisiana Avenue will be diverted at S. Claiborne Avenue.
· Traffic traveling south on Toledano Street will be diverted at Clara Street.
· Traffic traveling west on Magnolia Street will be diverted at Seventh Street.
· Traffic traveling east on Magnolia Street will be diverted at General Taylor and Amelia streets.
This closure is for installation of a water main.
Throughout construction, the Army Corps will continue to coordinate closures with its partners at the City of New Orleans and the Sewerage & Water Board.
