UPDATE: Lane shift to occur on South Claiborne Avenue for SELA work

Update: Due to inclement weather, the lane shift will not be put into place until Mon. March 16, 2015.

NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, and its contractors will temporarily shift travel lanes on South Claiborne Avenue for work related to the Southeast Louisiana Drainage Project (SELA).

Beginning Tuesday, March 10, 2015, westbound travel lanes on South Claiborne Avenue from Dublin Street to Leonidas Street will be shifted into eastbound travel lanes. South Claiborne Avenue, eastbound, will have two-way traffic from Short Street to Monticello Avenue.

The traffic shift will remain in place until spring 2016.

Throughout construction, The Corps will continue to work closely with its partners at the City of New Orleans.
