Corps asks public for resubmission of email comments for Southwest Coastal Feasibility Study draft report

Published Feb. 3, 2014

NEW ORLEANS – As part of the 45-day National Environmental Policy Act required public comment period for the “Southwest Coastal Louisiana Draft Integrated Feasibility Report and Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement,” the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District established the Southwest Coastal Feasibility Study project email, SWCoastalAdmin@usace.army.mil, as a tool to collect public comment.  Due to a technical issue with the email system, public comments sent to this email were not received by the project team.

Public comment is an important part of the Corps’ planning and National Environmental Policy Act processes.  To ensure that the Corps receives and addresses all public comments, members of the public are asked to resubmit email comments no later than February 13, 2014.

The technical issue has been addressed and comments can be resubmitted to SWCoastalAdmin@usace.army.mil.  All comments received by email will be acknowledged with a confirmation email.  Comments may also be sent by mail to: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, ATTN: Sandra Stiles, P.O. Box 60267, New Orleans, LA 70160-0267.

The Corps of Engineers regrets any inconvenience that this technical issue may have caused and wants to ensure that the project team receives important public comments on this draft report.

Please address any questions on this issue to the New Orleans District Public Affairs Office at 504-862-1522 or Ken.Holder@usace.army.mil.
