New Orleans, LA - The public scoping meeting previously scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009 at the Plaquemines Parish District 1 Council Office in Davant has been canceled due to Hurricane Ida.
The meeting will be rescheduled after the Thanksgiving holiday and will evaluate options for improving the New Orleans to Venice Hurricane Protection Project levees in Plaquemines Parish. The Federal levee project runs on the east bank of Plaquemines Parish from Phoenix to Bohemia, and on the west bank from St. Jude to Venice.
