NEW ORLEANS– Louisiana businesses, large and small, are invited to attend the Corps of Engineer’s Louisiana Industry Day, Jan. 13, at the New Orleans Marriott at Lakeway, 3838 N. Causeway Blvd., Metairie, La.

Two sessions are scheduled to allow companies, interested in working with the federal government to learn about anticipated Greater New Orleans hurricane and storm damage risk reduction projects during the next two years. The first session will be held from 8 to 11 a.m., with registration beginning at 7 a.m. Because space is limited, registration preference for this session will be granted to Louisiana businesses. An identical second session will be held from 1 to 4 p.m., with registration beginning at noon.

Each session will be followed by a one hour outreach gathering to allow businesses the opportunity to interact with each other.

“Louisiana businesses play a vital role in our nation’s economy,” said New Orleans District Commander Col. Alvin Lee. “We want to give them every opportunity to compete in the federal business market.”
