NEW ORLEANS, LA – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, will host a public meeting on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010 to provide an update on the status of the ongoing and upcoming hurricane system construction in Kenner. The West Return Floodwall project area extends from the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, north along the current West Return Floodwall, and connects to the Jefferson Parish Lakefront. The meeting will also include a discussion of construction underway along the Jefferson Parish Lakefront levee and the unsuitable material found between the Duncan Pump Station and Williams Blvd.
