Corps to hold public meeting to discuss levee and floodwall remediation

Inner Harbor Navigation Canal Corridor

NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will hold a public meeting on Nov. 8 to discuss the proposed action for continuing to restore and reinforce portions of the levees and floodwalls along the Inner Harbor Navigation Canal (IHNC).

The proposed action is fully described in “Draft Individual Environmental Report Supplemental (IERS) 11B Tier 2 Borgne,” which is currently available for a 30-day public review and comment period. Written or verbal comments on IERS 11B must be submitted to the Corps by midnight on Saturday, November 13, 2010. Comments received during the public review period will become part of the official record.

Public meeting details are as follows:

When: Monday, Nov. 8, 2010

Informational open house is from 6 to 6:30 p.m.

Presentation and discussion is at 6:30 p.m.
