Corps to host neighborhood meeting on West Shore Lake Pontchartrain Feasibility Study

NEW ORLEANS, LA – On May 21, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District is hosting a neighborhood focus meetings to discuss the West Shore Lake Pontchartrain Hurricane and Storm Damage Risk Reduction Feasibility Study. 

 

The intent of the West Shore Lake Pontchartrain Study is to analyze possible methods of reducing storm surge risk in St. John the Baptist and St. James parishes. This meeting will provide a venue for community members to learn more about the feasibility study process, alignment alternatives currently under analysis, potential benefits and impacts of project construction and environmental justice.

                        Presentation and discussion 6:30 p.m.
