NEW ORLEANS – U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District is hosting two pre-scoping meetings to share information and gather public input on the St. Tammany Parish Flood Risk Management Study.

The study agreement was signed in January of 2020. These pre-scoping meetings are early in the study’s three-year process to gather information to inform the study as it begins. More public meetings will be held throughout the study process. The goal of the study is to develop alternatives to reduce flood damages caused by hurricane and rainfall events.
The study is 100 percent federally funded by the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2018 and the local nonfederal sponsor is the Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority Board.
