NEW ORLEANS – The Calcasieu River Saltwater Barrier public boat ramp was closed Monday, July 15, 2019, as part of the upcoming construction project at the site.
The construction of a new office building and control house is expected to take 12 months, at which time the public boat ramp will be reopened.
During construction, temporary office trailers will be placed in the boat launch area for the Calcasieu River Saltwater Barrier and Catfish Point Control Structure operations.
