Due to anticipated widespread damages and risks to public safety and well-being resulting from the landfall of Hurricane Laura on the Louisiana Gulf coast in Cameron Parish on 27 August 2020, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District (CEMVN) has implemented special emergency permitting procedures on 27 August 2020, pursuant to 33 CFR 325.2(e)(4), to expedite the processing of permit applications for storm-related response and recovery work.
