HWY 61 AND KCS BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION W/ CHANNEL EXCAVATION

• Construction includes two vehicular bridges and one Kansas City Southern railroad bridge spanning approximately 300 feet.

PROJECT UPDATE

BROOKS LAKE

• Brooks Lake design is currently at 95%.

  CHANNEL SEGMENT 01

• Construction includes approximately 1.33 miles in length between Hwy 61 to the east and Bayou BR to the west

• Contract solicitation was 9 August 23, with bids anticipated to open 7 Sept 23.

  BAYOU BATON ROUGE ROCK CHUTE

• Construction includes approximately 1,500-foot-long rock chute and approximately 3500 feet of diversion channel connecting with Channel Segment One on the west and Channel

  Segment 2A on the west.

• Contract scheduled to award early 2024; awaiting relocation of utilities.

  CHANNEL REACH 2A

• . Construction includes approximately 1 mile of diversion channel between Hwy 964 on the west and Cypress Bayou on the east.

• Construction includes approximately 1200 ft long rock chute and approximately 1900 ft of the diversion channel connecting channel segment 2A on the west and channel segment 2B on the east
