ALL projects are sorted by issuance date. The public notices and drawings are in PDF formatted files. You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your PC to view the files. If you don't have it, you may download it free from www.adobe.com.

How to send comments. Comments can be mailed to the address appearing in the Public Notice or emailed to the Project Manager identified on the Public Notice. Comments made in reference to a Public Notice should include your name, address, and phone number as well as the permit application number identified on the Public Notice. 

Individuals or parties may request an extension of time in which to comment on the proposed work by writing to the project manager or clicking on the project manager’s name on the public notice grid on the web page.  Any request must be specific and substantively supportive of the requested extension, and received by this office prior to the end of the initial comment period.  The Branch Chief will review the request and the requestor will be promptly notified of the decision to grant or deny the request.  If granted, the time extension will be continuous to the initial comment period and, inclusive of the initial comment period, will not exceed a total of 30 calendar days.

NAME OF APPLICANT:  Salsbury Dodge City, LLC, c/o Compliance Consultants, Attn: Mary M. Field, 14666 South Harrell’s Ferry Road, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70816. 

 

LOCATION OF WORK:  Located along an approximate 12.32-acre site, in Section 50, Township 8 South, Range 2 East, located on and north of LA Highway 61, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in East Baton Rouge Parish, as shown on the enclosed drawings (Latitude 30° 22’ 09.71”N, Longitude 91° 1’ 36.11” W). The project is located in USGS Hydrologic Unit Code (HUC) 08070202- Amite River HUC. 

 

CHARACTER OF WORK:  The applicant has requested Department of the Army authorization to clear, grade, excavate and deposit fill and/or aggregate material to construct and maintain a car dealership facility to include parking lots, utilities and drainage infrastructure.  Approximately 11,880 cubic yards of fill material would be hauled in and deposited to achieve required grade elevation.  The proposed project is situated on an approximate 12.32-acre tract and would impact approximately 3.30 acres of jurisdictional wetlands.  The applicant has claimed that the project has been designed to avoid and minimize impacts as much as possible.  As compensation for unavoidable wetland impacts, the applicant proposes to use a Corps approved mitigation bank within the watershed of impact.
