Viewing Notices. To view a Public Notice and its associated Drawings file (if any), click on the "Public Notice" or "Public Notice and Drawings" link and any additional links included in the attachments section. How to send comments. Comments can be mailed to the address appearing in the Public Notice or emailed to the Project Manager identified on the Public Notice. Comments made in reference to a Public Notice should include your name, address, and phone number as well as the permit application number identified on the Public Notice. 

Individuals or parties may request an extension of time in which to comment on the proposed work by writing to the project manager or clicking on the project manager’s name on the public notice grid on the web page.  Any request must be specific and substantively supportive of the requested extension, and received by this office prior to the end of the initial comment period.  The Branch Chief will review the request and the requestor will be promptly notified of the decision to grant or deny the request.  If granted, the time extension will be continuous to the initial comment period and, inclusive of the initial comment period, will not exceed a total of 30 calendar days.

NAME OF APPLICANT:  Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government, P.O. Box 2768, Houma, LA 70361.   

DESCRIPTION: Proposed construction of a 12' (NAVD) levee and a 180' floodgate in Falgout Canal.  The levee will connect the existing levee systems on the westbank of Bayou Dularge. Approximately 489,000 cubic yards of native material will be displaced and 22,000 cubic yards of rock will be used as fill. Approximately 25.94 acres of nonvegetated waterbottoms and 43.21 acres of wetland habitat may be impacted as a result of this proposed project within the proposed activity ROW.  TPCG would be required to create a compensatory wetland mitigation plan in consultation with the Corps and the Federal/State resource agencies to mitigate for the impacted wetlands. 

LOCATION:  Approximately 12.4 miles south-southwest of Houma, Louisiana.  Sections 13 and 24 T19SR16e, P.O.B. of north section at Lat 29º 25' 13"N / Long -90º 46' 55"W, flood gate at Lat 29º 24' 56"N / Long -90º47' 20"W, and P.O.E. at Lat 29º 24' 27"N / Long -90º 47'20"W, in Terrebonne Parish.  The Project is located within the West Central Louisiana Watershed, USGS Catalog Unit 08090302.
