ALL projects are sorted by issuance date. The public notices and drawings are in PDF formatted files. You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your PC to view the files. If you don't have it, you may download it free from www.adobe.com.

How to send comments. Comments can be mailed to the address appearing in the Public Notice or emailed to the Project Manager identified on the Public Notice. Comments made in reference to a Public Notice should include your name, address, and phone number as well as the permit application number identified on the Public Notice. 

Individuals or parties may request an extension of time in which to comment on the proposed work by writing to the project manager or clicking on the project manager’s name on the public notice grid on the web page.  Any request must be specific and substantively supportive of the requested extension, and received by this office prior to the end of the initial comment period.  The Branch Chief will review the request and the requestor will be promptly notified of the decision to grant or deny the request.  If granted, the time extension will be continuous to the initial comment period and, inclusive of the initial comment period, will not exceed a total of 30 calendar days.

LOCATION OF WORK: The proposed activity would affect waters associated with existing roadside ditch. The project/review area is located along Prater Road and Perkins Avenue at Latitude North: 30.24407°N and Longitude West: -93.313453°W in the community of Sulphur, within Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The applicant requests a DA permit modification for authorization to excavate approximately 296,000 cubic yards of earthen material to construct a 240-foot-wide by 600-foot long detention pond and a 400-foot wide by 1,100-foot long detention pond with associated 24-inch to 36-inch diameter discharge culverts, which would drain into the existing gravity drainage lateral, place approximately 90,000 tons of crushed aggregate for a 24-acre and a 26-acre laydown yard area, construct a 60-foot wide by 80-foot long office building with adjacent parking lot and an aggregate road near an existing access road along Prater Road, and install a 30-foot wide by 48-foot long road crossing with culvert along Perkins Avenue. No work would be done in Tract C. The 61.3-acre site had been cleared under the previous permit. The purpose of the original permit included the construction of a multi-family residential development. The purpose of the modification includes the development of construction facilities with drainage requirements for APB Land Resources, L.L.C.
