Lane closure to occur on Jefferson Avenue for work related to SELA

NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District will temporarily close a section of Jefferson Avenue for work related to the Southeast Louisiana Urban Flood Control Project (SELA).

On Friday, August 12, 2016, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., traffic traveling northbound on Jefferson Avenue will be detoured at Loyola Avenue in 30 minute intervals. This is to allow trucks delivering sheet piles to access the jobsite between Clara and Lasalle streets. If inclement weather doesn’t allow the work to occur, it will be postponed until Monday, August 15, 2016 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Throughout construction, the Army Corps will continue to coordinate closures with its partners at the City of New Orleans and the Sewerage & Water Board.
