Lane closure to occur on Jefferson Avenue for SELA work

NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, and its contractors will temporarily close a southbound section of Jefferson Avenue for work related to the Southeast Louisiana Drainage Project (SELA).

Beginning Thursday, February 26, 2015, the southbound lane of Jefferson Avenue from Magazine Street to Constance Street will be closed. The closure is to construct the new drainage box culvert in the area. The closure will be in place for approximately nine months.

Throughout construction, The Corps will continue to work closely with its partners at the City of New Orleans.
