Intersection at Hollygrove Street and Claiborne Avenue to close for SELA work

NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, and its contractors will temporarily close the intersection at Hollygrove Street and Claiborne Avenue for work related to the Southeast Louisiana Drainage Project (SELA).

Beginning Friday, November 21, 2014, the intersection at Hollygrove Street and Claiborne Avenue will be closed for the construction of a box culvert across the intersection. The closure will last for approximately four months. Claiborne Avenue travel lanes will remain open.

Residents can access Claiborne Avenue by taking Nelson Avenue to Eagle Street or Carrolton Avenue. The intersection crossing at Mistletoe Street and Claiborne Avenue will open in December 2014.
