Published Oct. 26, 2011

NEW ORLEANS - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers New Orleans District (MVN) is hosting a Debris Industry Forum on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 to solicit feedback from industry on the proposed changes to the Advanced Contracting Initiative (ACI) Debris Contracts and to demonstrate new technology to improve the response to future disasters.

The forum will take place in the Acadia Room at the New Orleans Marriott, 555 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70130 and give interested vendors an opportunity to inform improvements to the acquisition process. Participants may arrive as early as 9:00 a.m. for networking purposes; however, the general session will take place from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Existing ACI contracts are entering the final contract year, so Corps representatives will also provide current information on the upcoming solicitation.

If you are interested in attending this forum, you must pre-register at the following web site: http://www.mvn.usace.army.mil/ebs/debris/index.asp. Space is limited and interested firms will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. You must register before October 26, 2011 to attend this forum.
