The New Orleans Metro Area Mountain
Bike Organization is a club of local
mountain bike enthusiasts who have
partnered with the Corps of
Engineers to develop riding
opportunities at the Bonnet Carre
Spillway. They have developed loops
and a tight single track off an old
ATV trail that runs parallel to the
canal in the eastern portion of the
Spillway, north of U.S. Highway 61.
