The regulatory process starts with the establishment of the limits of federal jurisdiction.  Once you, the property owner, know the limits of jurisdiction, federal law requires that you obtain a permit to work in jurisdictional areas.  If your project is in the Louisiana Coastal Zone, the forms and process are different than if your property is out of the coastal zone.  To obtain all the required forms, start with Question 1 below, follow the buttons to Questions 2 and 3 to obtain additional forms you may need, including those required by the Louisiana Coastal Management Division.   Use your browser's print button once you are at the required form.  If a button is not provided on the form's page , use your browser's "Back" button to return to the previous page!

#1.  Do you have a wetland determination issued by the Corps of Engineers within the past 5 years?  (Failure to obtain a valid wetland delineation/determination does not alleviate your responsibility to obtain the proper DA permits prior to working in wetlands that may occur on your property.)

If you can't see the buttons and need to request a new determination, click here, if you have a valid determination and want to continue, click here

Get the remaining forms, they are not necessary to obtain a jurisdictional determination and will not be needed if your property lacks wetlands or waters of the U.S., or your project will not impact any that may be on the property.
