The 2007 Mississippi River Navigation & Flood
Control Book consists of 111 map sheets developed to 1:40,000 publication scale. The
book maps the Mississippi River from river Mile 953 AHP at Cairo, IL
to the Mile 23 BHP at Gulf of Mexico, to include the Passes of the Mississippi River Delta.
Each map sheet is available for download in Adobe PDF format.
The 2007 book is physically smaller and also has more features than its 1998 predecessor.
New size is 11 by 17 inches from the previous 15 by 22 inches
More information on riverside facilities, such as ports and industries, made possible by placing more material on reverse side of each page.
Many geographic features were developed from new, larger-scale aerial photography, adding richness of detail.
It includes more precise graphics for docks and other river facilities.
The Corps' Road Access Maps are reproduced as a new section. The access maps help mariners and others find routes to specific
landings and access points to the river.
