ALL projects are sorted by issuance date. The public notices and drawings are in PDF formatted files. You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your PC to view the files. If you don't have it, you may download it free from www.adobe.com.

Viewing Notices. To view a Public Notice and its associated Drawings file (if any), click on the "Public Notice" or "Public Notice and Drawings" link and any additional links included in the attachments section. How to send comments. Comments can be mailed to the address appearing in the Public Notice or emailed to the Project Manager identified on the Public Notice. Comments made in reference to a Public Notice should include your name, address, and phone number as well as the permit application number identified on the Public Notice. 

Individuals or parties may request an extension of time in which to comment on the proposed work by writing to the project manager or clicking on the project manager’s name on the public notice grid on the web page.  Any request must be specific and substantively supportive of the requested extension, and received by this office prior to the end of the initial comment period.  The Branch Chief will review the request and the requestor will be promptly notified of the decision to grant or deny the request.  If granted, the time extension will be continuous to the initial comment period and, inclusive of the initial comment period, will not exceed a total of 30 calendar days.

NAME OF APPLICANT:  Calcasieu Parish Police Jury, c/o Arabie Environmental Solutions, L.L.C., Post Office Box 928, Lake Charles, Louisiana 70602. 

LOCATION OF WORK:  Near Bayou Guy, located off Ham Reid Road, west of Elliott Road to Big Lake Road, in the community of Lake Charles, in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, as shown on the enclosed drawings.  

Location: Latitude: 30°09ʹ15.42ʺ N / Longitude: -93°16ʹ31.56ʺ W, Hydrologic Unit Code: 08080206 – Calcasieu Basin.      

CHARACTER OF WORK: Conduct clearing, grubbing, and grading operations to construct an approximately 140-feet wide by 1.0-mile long roadway with roundabouts and ditches, excavate and place approximately 66,362 cubic yards of earthen material for elevation, drainage and contouring operations, and place approximately 7,000 cubic yards of pavement for roadway construction, all to prepare a 60 acre site for the extension of Ham Reid Road. Approximately 4.15 acres of forested wetlands, 8.11 acres of herbaceous wetlands, and 6,445 linear feet of non-wetland waters would be permanently impacted via project implementation. The applicant proposes to compensate for wetland impacts by purchasing credits at a Department of the Army (DA) approved mitigation bank, should a DA permit authorization be granted.
