ALL projects are sorted by issuance date. The public notices and drawings are in PDF formatted files. You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your PC to view the files. If you don't have it, you may download it free from www.adobe.com.

Viewing Notices. To view a Public Notice and its associated Drawings file (if any), click on the "Public Notice" or "Public Notice and Drawings" link and any additional links included in the attachments section. How to send comments. Comments can be mailed to the address appearing in the Public Notice or emailed to the Project Manager identified on the Public Notice. Comments made in reference to a Public Notice should include your name, address, and phone number as well as the permit application number identified on the Public Notice. 

Individuals or parties may request an extension of time in which to comment on the proposed work by writing to the project manager or clicking on the project manager’s name on the public notice grid on the web page.  Any request must be specific and substantively supportive of the requested extension, and received by this office prior to the end of the initial comment period.  The Branch Chief will review the request and the requestor will be promptly notified of the decision to grant or deny the request.  If granted, the time extension will be continuous to the initial comment period and, inclusive of the initial comment period, will not exceed a total of 30 calendar days.

NAME OF APPLICANT:  Royal Marina, L.L.C., c/o JMB Partnership, L.L.C., 2205 Pinhook Road, Suite 200, Lafayette, Louisiana 70508. 

LOCATION OF WORK:  Bayou Contraband, Giavanni Street, located in the community of Lake Charles, in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, as shown on the enclosed drawings. 

Location: Latitude: 30°12ʹ16.5ʺ N / Longitude: -93°14ʹ20.5ʺ W, Hydrologic Unit Code: 08080206 – Calcasieu Basin. 

CHARACTER OF WORK:  Conduct clearing, grubbing, and grading operations, excavate approximately 93,508 cubic yards of earthen material to a depth of 10-feet below mean sea level within 4.1 acres of cypress/tupelo swamp to construct a marina bay connecting to Bayou Contraband, construct 10-foot wide by 50-foot long boat docks within the marina bay, 10-foot wide by 40-foot long boat docks extending out into Bayou Contraband, and 3,500 linear feet of vinyl bulkhead, and place approximately 11,225 cubic yards of dredged material and 3,600 cubic yards of concrete and asphalt, all to prepare an 11.1 acre site for a marina bay, townhomes, parking area, and boat docks. The remaining amount of dredged material will be relocated to a non-wetland site. Overall, the proposed project would permanently impact approximately 5.25 acres of cypress/tupelo swamp. The applicant agrees to compensate for wetland impacts by purchasing credits at a Department of the Army approved mitigation bank.
