ALL projects are sorted by issuance date. The public notices and drawings are in PDF formatted files. You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your PC to view the files. If you don't have it, you may download it free from www.adobe.com.

Viewing Notices. To view a Public Notice and its associated Drawings file (if any), click on the "Public Notice" or "Public Notice and Drawings" link and any additional links included in the attachments section. How to send comments. Comments can be mailed to the address appearing in the Public Notice or emailed to the Project Manager identified on the Public Notice. Comments made in reference to a Public Notice should include your name, address, and phone number as well as the permit application number identified on the Public Notice. 

Individuals or parties may request an extension of time in which to comment on the proposed work by writing to the project manager or clicking on the project manager’s name on the public notice grid on the web page.  Any request must be specific and substantively supportive of the requested extension, and received by this office prior to the end of the initial comment period.  The Branch Chief will review the request and the requestor will be promptly notified of the decision to grant or deny the request.  If granted, the time extension will be continuous to the initial comment period and, inclusive of the initial comment period, will not exceed a total of 30 calendar days.

NAME OF APPLICANT:  Lafourche Parish Government, 4876 Highway 1, Mathews, LA 70375. 

 LOCATION OF WORK:  In Bayou L’Ours , Sections 16, 32, 33, 34, 40, 41, 42, 44 ,45 T19S-R22E, in Galliano, Louisiana, in Lafourche Parish, within the Barataria Basin in hydrologic unit (HUC 08090301), as shown on the attached drawings (Latitude 29.419069 N, Longitude -90.206855 W).    

 CHARACTER OF WORK:  A portion of the work described herein was previously authorized under an Individual Permit (MVN-2012-00926-WPP) issued to Lafourche Parish Government on November 15, 2012.  The applicant has requested modification to the Department of the Army authorization to dredge and redistribute the material in shallow open water areas to construct and maintain the Bayou L’Ours marsh terraces.  The previous authorization included 100,000 linear feet of terraces totaling impacts to 255.6 acres of water bottoms for the creation of marsh habitat.  The applicant has requested a modification to add approx. 64,047 linear feet of terraces which will increase water bottom impacts to a total of 425.5 acres.  A total of approximately 607,000 cubic yards would be excavated and redistributed for the creation of emergent marsh.  To date, approx. 51,175 linear feet of terraces have been constructed as previously authorized.
